Yes, it’s a new layout. I just didn’t think the old one was efficient enough to be used as a blog. It looked pretty awesome, and that was pretty much it, awesome, but not practical. So I come back with one thats more pleasing to the human eye. Let me know what you think of this new look! I also couldn’t find a picture, so I guess a little bit of anime obsession from me would do the trick!

Apple’s worst kept secret has finally landed in stores as of yesterday. The iPad, supposedly the one device to single handedly change how we view a “tablet” device. Apple is known to REVOLUTIONIZE the way we correlate with our “i” devices, so can this glossy slab Apple released do the same?

Aside from that question, heres something that I would be interested in if I were to grab an iPad sometime down the road. Google implementation of their products will surely have me interested. Something along the lines of a tweaked gmail script for Safari on the iPad would be wonderful and much more useful than the lackluster Mail app for the iphone/ipod/iPad. Having the ability to have Google Documents on the iPad will further my decision to purchase one.

We already know that Apple has decided to not support Adobe Flash for their mobile products such as the iPad. Google has apps that will allow the “Flash-less” devices to view Youtube, and the iPad will soon have YoutubeHD.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if we could dock our iPads into our cars, have it replace the GPS, the stereo and also have it run concerts and music videos? Thats something that I would love to see happen in the future. I dont have a dvd deck or anything like that, but being able to dock the giant 10in screen on my dash or console would be amazing.

The only thing stopping me from buying the glossy slab is Apple’s decision to use “micro sim” vs the regular sim. ATT in the great land of America have announced plans to sell micro sims to the mass public for use on the iPhone. Canada ain’t so lucky, i havent heard anyone talk about releasing micro sims or anything along the lines of new sim cards. I do hope it will be true, because I have 6gb of data to rape, it doesnt do justice on my blackberry, I might as well pop it in the iPad and surf net like crazy.

As it stands, I will NOT be buying an iPad. I just dont see the use for myself. I do all the email, twittering and messaging on the Blackberry. The only reason I would buy the iPad is for docking it in the car and to somehow be able to use all that data I currently have.

I can for sure see that people’s view on Twitter is just a stupid service for status updates. Some idiot goes on with the following tweet

“Woke up, brush teeth, drop the kids off in a pool”

This is the kinda shit that ends up on Failblog. Its not insightful nor does anyone give a horse shit about it.  If you were say, Justin Bieber, than maybe some will care that the young one has taken a shit and it smells like gold. If you were some random Joe posting this crap on Twitter, its not gonna happen, your gonna end up as either a) a total embarrassment or b) popular on twitter for the wrong reasons. My advice, if your not gonna be productive, dont whore out your Twitter account with junk such as the above example. If your not Justin Bieber, I dont care that you took a shit and it smelled like WIN, because in most cases, it didnt, rather smelled like dead roadkill. So please, unless your famous or something, do us a favor and not FAILWHALE hard.

We all use it, we’ve heard all about it, and its become the biggest and most effective marketing machine in society today. Many will refer to social media from its products such as Facebook and Twitter. It’s a form of communication between people and has thus created a powerful community on the internet.

Now that Social Media has finally gone “mainstream”, companies alike are using the services more extensively. All due to the little gadget we all have in our hands, the Smartphone.

You can’t live without it, you can feel withdrawal if the wireless service decides to shit the bed on you and if you’re anything like me, feel panic the moment you forgot where you have placed that stupid phone.

I can now grab my phone, on the bus, and tell the world how messed up the guy sitting across from me is, or snap a pic of some beautiful lady and you wanted to share her with the world, and at the same time tell people how much of a creeper you are.

Social Media of course, isn’t what I just said, Social Media allows bloggers like myself or other writers to give an opinion, to reach out to the fans quickly and more directly the moment they receive the message on their phones. Basically, the worlds biggest bathroom wall, but on the go, where everyone’s a winner because everyone will read your opinion.

The Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics proved to be the height of Social Media covering the event. Party goers and tourists alike were able to pump out info on what the hell just happened with whomever. All done on their smartphone. Twitter literally blew up during those two weeks because everyone out there in the city had their phones out tweeting just about every little tidbit that was going on in that time on the corner of Granville and Robson.

Smartphones has re-invented the way we use our wireless devices and it will only move upwards. What do you guys think about the next big event this year? Will the World Cup be more enjoyable due to people because they can find out the latest news much easier due to Social Media? Has Social Media changed your life?

So I’ve decided to relaunch the site, and take it to a completely new direction. I had launched this site back in the summer of 2007 with hopes of one day, having a successful blog of some sort. So what happened after 4 posts? Simple, I was blogging about garbage no one in their right mind would care about. At the same time, I was so confused on how wordpress or blogging worked that I simply gave up.

So why relaunch The Lyfe Projekt? I have a project thats work in progress that will finally allow me to take blogging seriously. I have a project that will propel myself to one day hope that this very blog will have posts and articles in which the reader(thats you!) will enjoy.

Final thought? not much really, but I will leave the following picture to give a sneak preview of things to come and what “The Lyfe Projekt” is all about
